Scheduling

PV phase: Execute twice in the first two weeks of PV phase. Separation to the CALBLOCK-PV-001: Self Calibration visits should be at least two days. This is to get better sampling of potentially fast photometric oscillations due to ice contamination.

Routine phase: Approximately weekly, at least as long as CALBLOCK-F-013: Phase Diversity is active. Scheduling must not disturb any thermal stabilisation periods. This block is thus best executed immediately before a thermal stabilisation period, or after the end of a finished PDC block.

In case of failure, skip and continue with the plan.

Time-critical

Yes. Must not disturb thermal stabilization period.

Dependencies

None

Objective

The PDC campaign is susceptible to contamination, and a higher cadence than the monthly self-cal visits is required. These observations provide a quick photometric monitoring of sources in the self-cal field.

Observations

Execute a single ROS at the center of the self-cal field.

None

In-orbit duration

In-orbit Duration: 1.2 h

Data volume

1*ROS = 4981 MB

Processing input

Ground Processing Input Data: All calibration products to run the standard science pipeline

Data Description: Each visit provides a single set of ROS data, like for one wide survey field.

Processing output

Mean flux loss in VIS and NISP images, computed over all sources in the field-of-view, compared to previous Self-cal visits (long-term photometric monitoring).

Required accuracy, constraints

Images successfully acquired

Processing tools

Full SGS processing as for any wide survey field.

It is not necessary to run OU-SIR, but might be easier to just do it.
