CHAR-TEL-003: External straylight levels

Parent requirement

Objective

During commissioning it was discovered that sunlight can enter the instrument cavity through a triple scattering chain, beginning with a thruster nozzle. Straylight levels are largely removed by rotation the spacecraft such that the nozzle moves into the shadow. This characterisation obtains the strailight levels at various AA and SAA angles for both the VIS and NISP instruments, and thus defines a dark AA/SAA subspace that can be used by EC-SURV to build a compliant survey.

Cadence

Once, during PV.
